Floods


A flood is where there is too much water in a river, lake, or ground can hold so then the water goes on land and floods the land.
If you don’t know how a flood occurs it occurs when there is to much water in the ground can hold so it over floes.

A flood happens when there is too much rain fall.

A flood can hurt people in many ways they could die drown get cut or get badly injured. The environment can get wrecked in many ways too the animals could die drown or get badly injured. The trees could get knocked down and then they could knock down buildings electricity and leave the place a wreck.

People could be prepared by making a flood kit including key personal documents torch battery or wind up radio mobile phone gloves rubber boots water proof clothing first aid kit and blankets. Also make sure you have the emergency numbers you need and all your important things in a high place.

Some examples of floods in Australia are the Nepean river flooded the Wallacia Bridge and a flood in QL wasn’t to long ago.

keep on raining quick or slow.


Floods are caused by the exess from a few main
sorces,flood water can kill people and animals
from the toilet and sewage.Rushing water damange
is caused by the damage of the water crashing into
cars,houses and buildings.
There is a few kind of floods
some of them are river floods,coastal floods and
flash floods.They can do lots of damange to
peoples houses and furniture.Some people are
left homeless because floods.

Introduction
A Bushfire is something that occurs naturally. Bushfires can be a very tragic disaster that happens to people. During a Bushfire people can be killed, injured or their homes can be destroyed. Bushfires can happen all over the world at any time.


What is a Bushfire?
A bushfire is a wildfire that occurs in the bush. It is a natural phenomenon that commonly occurs in Australia. Bushfires are a burning bush or forest. A bushfire is the combustion of a burning woodland.


How do Bushfires occur?
For a bushfire to occur it needs fuel, leaves or wood. A bushfire is caused by a lightening strike, spontaneous or deliberated accident flame. Things that can cause a bushfire are dry weather, high temperatures and flammable. A bushfire needs oxygen and heat to occur.

Why do Bushfires occur?
A bushfire can occur on occasions like a camp fire when it is out of control. Bushfires can start by people putting their cigarettes on the ground. They can also occur because there is a spark from lightening. Another reason is people just setting fires deliberately.

- There was a bushfire in 1994 in Australia N.S.W there were high temperatures of about 40 degrees Celsius.
- There was another bushfire in 2001 in Australia N.S.W on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
- The Ash Wednesday fires occurred in Victoria on the 16th February and ended on the 18th February in South Australia.
- Black Saturday occurred in Canberra on
the 18th January 2003 the fire began on the 8th of January by a lightening strike.
